Meet the Team: Christopher Greco

Christopher Greco: "My first trip to Liberia in 2011 changed the course of my life. It was after serving the Liberians in all domains of my American calling (worship, pastoral counseling, and theatre arts) that I saw the universality of these energies in a new way. As Psalm 139 puts it, "If I rise on the wings of the dawn and settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast." As a result of that epiphany, I started a Masters in Counseling program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary to further my training. And now, on the cusp of our second trip, I have just accepted a position as Theatre Director and Cross Center Manager at Lexington Christian Academy which marks a new chapter in my vocational life. The direct relationship between life in Liberia and life in America feels important to me. It's not only what do we have to bring to the Liberian people but what do they have to bring to us. Similarly, though I will be ministering to many pastors and leaders there with my various gifts, I fully receive from them the gift of praise and the gift of faith which they possess in far greater measure than I ever have. I am indebted to Bill Massaquoi and his Rebuild Africa team for demonstrating to me what it means to follow Christ in all circumstances with all that you are. I am happy to be able to give back in this small way."
