Scholarship Program (K-12 and University)

Monrovia, Liberia
Initiated in 2007

Rebuild Africa currently provides approximately 25 scholarships to students in grade K to university. About half of the recipients are attending a certified university or college in Liberia. Since 2007, Rebuild Africa has provided over 100 scholarships.

Scholarship recipients are selected on a merit basis through an application process that is overseen by Rebuild Africa staff. To retain the scholarship once accepted, recipients must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 (B) and be in good standing with their school.

Scholarship students are also invited to participate in Rebuild Africa-sponsored service projects in under-privileged areas of Liberia. Past service projects have included the provision of nursing services and HIV prevention education in a rural community as well as organizing and running youth education and spiritual development programs.
