support for our work in Liberia encourage us now more than ever as we
continue our efforts to find funding for our projects. You are our
'co-entrepreneurs' - standing with us during this vital start-up time.
In this newsletter we're pleased to share, not only that the first
house is complete, but also how the different 'arms' of our holistic
program are beginning to mature and synergize.

Scholarship Students Give Forward
How a holistic program develops
On July 1st, 2010 our Liberia Field Coordinator, Robert
Chiewolo, (whose story was featured in June), took 7 of our scholarship
students to Fassavolu for 3 weeks. Isaac Kerkula, Emmanuel Kolonight,
Ballah Yengbeh, Thomas Korvah, Aaron Dennis, Philamena Miaway and Norwu
Yorgbor arrived the next day and got straight to work.
The five young men helped bring construction of the
first house to completion. The villagers were overjoyed, and Town
Chief Solomon Ngaimai Kehelee said, "I
thank God for Bill Massaquoi and the entire Rebuild Africa family. I
also want to say thank you to all of my town people for the hard work.
It is about time that we work even harder to make sure we build our
whole town."
Back of the house, complete with porch. Students,
Town Chief and residents
141 students registered from Fassavolu town and a nearby
village called Bonolahum. It was led by Philimena, Norwu and Isaac, and
made a tremendous impact on the lives of the children.
Prior to the Vacation School, parents and teachers in
Fassavolu reported 90% of the younger children were unable to write,
distinguish small letters from capital letters and pronounce letters
properly. Thanks to the School they are now they are able to do
so.
T. Francis Jallah, Principle of the small school in
Fassavolu said, "The
Vacation School was the first of its kind in Fassavolu. The
presentations and teaching methods used by the Rebuild Africa Team have
tremendously changed our kids over a short time period. The impact of
the vacation school is a life long experience in the lives of our
kids".

Please
join with us, Peer Servants, World Relief, and Hope International for a
fun day of low-key exercise and fundraising for sustainable development
among the Developing World.
Now in it's fifth year, the Walk for Economic
Empowerment will take place in three locations:
Wakefield, MA (Sept. 25th),
Tulsa, OK (Oct.
2nd) and Cockeysville,
MD (Oct. 9th)
This is a wonderful no-pressure way to engage your
friends, colleagues and family members in blessing the materially poor.
Rebuild Africa needs to build support now, more than at any other time
in our short history. We hope this event not only helps you to engage
friends and introduce them to our work, but that it will also help
raise awareness for sustainable development as all four organizations
and their supporters walk together.
